NoHomelessKids Lunch a Success!     

Vision House Mom, Rita, shares her story of triumph over drugs 

I started using drugs in my teens, which later escalated to stronger drugs and using more frequently. I eventually lost my job, my family and my sanity. I went down the dark road of drugs until I finally found hope at Vision House....<READ MORE>.   

$177,000 was raised at our NoHomelessKids Lunch to help homeless families and moms like Rita.  Of that total, $139,000 is for operating & caring for current Vision House families, and $38,000 is for our Jacob's Well expansion project in Shoreline. Volunteers needed for SPIRIT Build on Sat., June 2nd 
Jacob's Well May 2012 
Saturday, June 2nd from 10AM - 2PM
We're coordinating a massive volunteer effort to install the insulation on the new Jacob's Well complex in Shoreline. Tasks can be completed by skilled and unskilled volunteers.

We also need 20 - 40 key leaders with insulation experience to help guide volunteer groups of 10-15.
 
Family members 12 years old + may participate on the construction site. Children under 12 are welcome to the BBQ lunch. Thanks to SPIRIT 105.3 and Campbell Nelson Motors for sponsoring the event.

New Sleeping Bags Needed for Camp! Camp Sambica is providing scholarships for our Vision House kids to go to camp this summer, but the kids don't have sleeping bags. We need about 12 new, adult size sleeping bags. Let us know if you can help!
