Men's Recovery Program
The Men's Program is a group-housing situation that provides a stable environment for homeless men who have completed a drug and/or alcohol treatment program. Residents are required to abide by the Vision House no tolerance policy to drug and alcohol use. Case managers meet weekly with residents in groups and individually to support them in their sobriety and treatment plans, and assist them in their educational and career goals. Residents receive life skills classes, mentoring, referrals for medical and dental needs, optional bible studies, counseling and assistance in obtaining vocational or academic training.
Michael lived on the streets of Seattle before he went through a drug treatment program and moved into Vision House. "Vision House helped me to see how important I am. They showed me how to set goals, manage my finances wisely and to start a savings account. I am truly grateful for Vision House. They helped me change my life." Michael now has permanent housing, is working full time and is attending college.
