The Single Men's program is a group-housing situation
that provides a stable enironment for homeless men who
have completed a drug treatment program. Residents
are required to abide by the Vision House no tolerance
policy to drug and alcohol use. Case managers
meet weekly with residents in groups and individually
to help hold them accountable for their sobriety, treatment
plans, and their pursuit of educational and career goals.
Residents receive life skills classes; mentoring; referrals
for medical and dental needs; Christian counseling;
and assistance in obtaining vocational or academic training.
Michael lived on the
streets of Seattle before he went through a drug treatment
program and moved into Vision House. "Vision House
helped me to see how important I am. They showed
me how to set goals, manage my finances wisely and to
start a savings account. I am truly grateful for
Vision House. They helped me change my life."
Michael now has permanent housing, is working full time
and is attending a Bible College.
