Overview
Vision House has secured property just off Ballinger Way in Shoreline, Washington to build Vision House Jacob's Well, a transitional housing facility for homeless mothers and their children. The complex will consist of 20 housing units, on-site child care for 65 children and counseling offices for families who need extra support. The Jacob's Well Service Center will also provide space where volunteers and local churches can come together to support the resident families along side the professional staff.

Update
Even though acquiring funding in 2009 was very challenging, we’re still moving forward with the Jacob’s Well project. We’ve divided the project into 47 pieces and are now mobilizing churches, construction companies, community groups and individuals to help build this transitional housing complex. The first phase will include 12 apartments for homeless mothers and children, a family support center and a licensed after school program.

• Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church raised $12,000 to pay for the clearing of the property. Matt Howland from Howland Homes will be leading that effort.
• Ed and Barbara Fruhling from Fruhling Sand and Gravel in Bothell have agreed to provide some of the equipment and hauling.
• Adam Blackmer from Precision Siteworks will be doing the grading.
• A large commercial contractor is considering putting in the foundation.

We’re excited and encouraged to be taking the next steps in building this complex where homeless children and their mothers will find refuge, love and guidance in restoring their lives.
