Vision House Volunteer Opportunities

Technical Support - Help with computer upgrades, database updating by adding new fields, wireless problem solving, periodic training. Group projects.

Adopt-A-Room - Work with VH house staff before new residents move in, setting up or re-designing rooms. Helping with necessary updates (i.e. painting, decorating, moving furniture, etc.) When VH resident moves out, help find household items people in the community are donating, to furnish residents new home.

Families, church or community groups can also adopt a room in one of our new facilities to decorate and ready for the families that will be moving in.

Donation Sorting and Organizing – Help sort and organize donations.

Maintenance - Help with maintenance of the homes including carpentry, general repairs, lawn maintenance, plumbing, moving appliances and furniture. We also need skilled laborers for Vision House building projects.

Yard Work – Landscaping and yard maintenance at the Vision House facilities.

Office Assistance - Periodic help is needed on special projects such as newsletters, fundraising events, and mailing assistance. Weekly assistance is welcome in the office.

Mail Team – Periodic help is needed on mailings, stuffing envelopes, labeling newsletters etc. Can be done at your home.

Phone Calls – Periodic help is needed making phone calls for Vision House.

General Help - Help is always needed with errands such as running to the printer, food bank or shopping for event preparation. Other help would include resident transportation and auto repairs.

Brunch and Auction – Volunteers needed to help secure auction items, set up, decorate and/or help clean up for the event.

Christmas Trees – November/December
Help deliver and pick up our giving trees throughout the community. Or put a giving tree up at your church or workplace to collect donations for Vision House families.

Food Donation – Donate snacks for weekly children’s programs.
